Who is the Photographer
Well what can i say about myself!
let me start of by saying that this picture of me was taken when i lived in the UK for 2 years,
that was a hard deserved beer let me tell you, as i had to cycle everywhere i went, even to work.
I currently now reside in Port Elizabeth South Africa
I have always been interested in photography. I decide to get my self a Nikon to begin with, having no intention on taking up a course or processing in any of my images in Photoshop... after 2 month having the camera, i took up a course in 2012 and got myself photoshop CS6, and let me tell you i am having the time of my life with photography and post processing.
I recently upgraded my equipment got a new and better camera, with added accessories, and already i am thinking of upgrading my equipment again.
I got married in September 2013 to a wonderful women, if you look up above this post you will see her (Claire Knickelbein) in one of the photoshoot i did with Claire.
I am currently employed with a Freight Forwarding company, which deals with Import and Exports. Its a very stresfull environment, but i don't think i would'nt want it any other way. it keeps you busy and on your toes.
In regards to my photography, My Favourite glass is the Nikon 50mm f1.8 G lens, and i am having the time of my life with this lens, i don't think i have taken it off the body of the camera to be honest with you, that is how much i love that Lens, but recently I have upgraded.
I do a lot of Ebook reading, currently Scott Kelby is my favourite. I too read up and look at Tutorials on post processing to increase my skill and attention to details. but i have learnt that it is better to take your time and make sure your shot is close to perfect, so you don't have to spend a lot of time doing post processing of your images.
I have a page on photoshop that you can "Like", The name of the page is Lyle Knickelbein Photography, I am also on Google+ where i upload a lot of my photographs, to be critiqued so i can learn and see how the other professionals are taking their photographs.
I honestly believe i can only get better with my photography, and let me tell you, have learnt a lot just on the shoots i have been on, for example, to have a spare battery, have sufficient memory cards, and pay attention to your surrroundings, there is nothing worse then loading a photograph, to find out there was a object or a piece of paper laying on the ground, sure you can take it out with post processing, but why should i have to, if i only paid attention to detail.
I am busy gearing up to get involved in Wedding Photography, nothing more beautiful then a beautifull happy bride, i know, i clearly remember how happy my wife was on our wedding day
